Free Evening Screenings at the Big Green Bookshop

Monday 22, Tuesday 23 Wednesday 24th March at 7pm each night

|

Friends of the festival Simon & Tim will be turning their bookshop into a pop-up cinema for the days leading up to the festival and screening a programme of films chosen by visitors to their bookshop blog: ‘Open a Bookshop, What Could Possibly Go Wrong?’  woodgreenbookshop.blogspot.com

So log on and get voting, or just turn up on the night for a pleasant surprise. Heartily recommended by us here in the festival team.

The bookshop opened in March 2008 after the last dedicated bookshop in Wood Green closed down. The shop is owned by Simon Key and Tim West and aims to give Wood Green a bookshop that truly cares about the community They have a strong events programme; as well as the dozens of author appearances, they have hosted evenings of stand up comedy, music poetry and had more than one visit by Maisy Mouse.

All films start at 7pm so arrive early to ensure you get a seat. These films are completely free, but there will be an opportunity to contribute towards the cost of the evening so please dig deep!
